June Special Friendship Program Featuring Fumi-sensei
Program Description
Experience authentic Japan with your host family and new friends!
In this program, you will do more than just learn the language. You will dive into Japanese spirituality by:
● Connecting with locals
● Staying in a homestay
● Exploring Japanese culture
● Learning hands-on Japanese in small groups, organized by level
● Engaging in sustainable activities
● Discovering the natural beauty of Setouchi
● Savoring gourmet experiences
In addition, the June Friendship Program is a special edition featuring Fumi-sensei!!!
Schedule: June 19th - 29th, 2026
● June 19th: Airport/ Station pick-up and the beginning of your homestay.
● June 20th: Orientation and a welcoming party.
● June 21st: A day with your host family.
● June 22nd: Three Japanese language classes and engaging in local activities.
● June 23rd: Three Japanese language classes and an exclusive get-together with Fumi-sensei.
● June 24th: Onomichi day trip includes a special opportunity to meet and learn from Fumi‑sensei, who will join us for part of the journey.
● June 25th - 26th: Three Japanese language classes and engaging in local activities.
● June 27th: A day with your host family.
● June 28th: A farewell party and time with your host family.
● June 29th: Departure.

You will experience one or two host families during your stay.
Japanese Language Class
Join a small group to learn Japanese. Engage in lively conversations with our friendly teachers!
Everyone, regardless of their Japanese proficiency, is welcome! You will be placed in a class that suits your level.
Transportation
Our support members, Japanese teachers, and host families will serve as your personal guides. In this area, public transportation options are limited, making car travel necessary for most destinations. We will provide transportation to various locations. All transportation expenses are covered in the participation fee. Discover hidden gems that many tourists never get to see!

Fukuyama city in Hiroshima Prefecture
Airport: The nearest airport is Hiroshima Airport.
Station: Fukuyama Station, a stop for the Super Express Train (Shinkansen).
Appropriate age: Ages 15 and above
Maximum number of participants: 4 people
* 3 spots available as of February 1
Program participation fee: 389,500 Yen
As this is a special program, the fee is different from the regular program fee.
The fee includes the lesson fee, local activities, get-together with Fumi-sensei, transportation during the program, homestay, breakfast, dinner, travel insurance, and guide services.
Please note that transportation costs to get to the meeting spots, airfare, lunch, snacks, and souvenir expenses are not included.
Meeting Details
Complimentary pick-up on the first day of the program:
● 4 PM at Hiroshima Airport
● After 5:30 PM at Fukuyama Station

◆Is there an age limit?
Anyone aged 15 and over is welcome to join. We've even had participants in their 70s!
◆I'm just starting to learn Japanese—can I still participate?
Absolutely! Lessons are held in small groups tailored to different levels, so everyone can feel comfortable. English support from our staff is also available. If you'd like to stay with a host family that speaks English, we can help arrange that too.
◆What are the Japanese lessons like?
Since you're in Japan, we make the most of it by offering fun and engaging lessons that let you experience the culture while learning the language. With small groups, questions are always welcome!

I like that there is a lot of flexibility with the language lessons for the day, as well as the chance to ask the teacher questions about the Japanese language or even Japanese culture that maybe I didn’t quite understand. Having the one on one support was fantastic. What I appreciated most, though, was the ability to learn about various topics - especially those relating to our day trips, while communicating entirely in Japanese. And when I didn’t understand a word or a phrase - which happened often, the staff were so helpful at breaking it down to more simple and easier to understand Japanese. Before joining this homestay program, I had already studied Japanese and passed the N1 qualification, but I had never had the chance to live with a real Japanese family. This program gave me a wonderful opportunity to immerse myself in Japanese culture and experience how warm and kind Japanese people are. Even as someone who has passed N1, I can confidently say that this program is beneficial for Japanese learners of all levels.
